Sir Christopher Chope 'not surprised' over by-election result
MP SIR Christopher Chope has described the Conservative government's by-election losses as an "organisational failure", saying the party needs "a change of direction".
"After the unalloyed joy of the Jubilee, it is disappointing that some of my Parliamentary colleagues are behaving like headless chickens. I hope that the vast majority will show their confidence in our Prime Minister and help put this distraction behind us."
