Keeping Christchurch independent

Chris has led the campaign for Christchurch to retain its status as a sovereign Council in control of its own destiny. He has initiated debates in Parliament and asked many Parliamentary Questions in defence of Christchurch. He wrote to the Prime Minister in March 2017 arguing against the forced merger of Christchurch with Bournemouth and Poole and was delighted by her intervention which has put the proposals on hold. Chris is ready to continue Christchurch's campaign in the next Parliament, because Christchurch's Green Belt and unique history and identity remain under threat.
